Torrent for Ubuntu

qBittorrent is a multi-platform Bittorrent client developed in C++/Qt4 by Christophe Dumez, a Ph.D student in the University of technology of Belfort-Montbeliard.qBittorrent is an attempt to provide a ╬╝Torrent equivalent that is open-source and multi-platform.

It is almost like ╬╝Torrent. This is the best torrent which I found for Ubuntu. It's integrated search engine is of great help. In addition to this we can set the upload/download speed limits, schedule the downloads, set priorities. Above all ,it gives maximum speed for your downloads.

You can install qbitttorrent either via the software centre or by entering the following command in the terminal.

sudo apt-get install qbittorrent

For those who use Ubuntu 9.04 or older enter the following command before installing.

sudo apt-get update
