Desktop Shortcuts For Ubuntu

For a beginner mouse is a great tool than keyboard, but for an expert user mouse is somewhat boring and time consuming. Here I am introducing to you the most general and highly useful desktop shortcuts for Ubuntu.

  • To launch Applications                             Alt+F1
  • To minimize a active window                    Alt+F9
  • To switch between the desktops              Alt+Ctrl+ arrow keys (left&right)
  • To switch between windows                    Alt+Tab
  • To bring the shutdown menu                   Ctrl+Alt+Delete
  • To close a window                                  Alt+F4

Apart from these you can use the common application specific shortcuts in Ubuntu also.
