Adding Fonts In Ubuntu

In windows we usually add fonts by copying them into  the Settings-control panel -Fonts. In Linux we have a folder called .Fonts in the home directory. It is a hidden file. In Linux filenames starting with a '.' are hidden. To view hidden file goto View->Show hidden files or you can use the short cut Ctrl + H .Now you can see .fonts folder in your home folder. Now download the required fonts and copy them into this folder. When your computer boots up for the next time ,these fonts will get configured.
